Starting with waste
Our first team was waste. We built the frontend for waste insights, which show a restaurant what it throws away and what that costs.
Nory is a restaurant management platform that brings sales, labor, inventory and AI assistants into one product.
Nory's customers run real restaurants, and the product handles their payroll, supplier invoices and stock orders. A bug here costs someone money.
We also moved from team to team. Each one owned a domain we didn't know yet, and we had to learn it fast enough to ship without slowing anyone down.
We work inside Nory's teams, in their tools and on their release schedule, on both the web app and the mobile app.
Everything we build sits on Bento, Nory's in-house design system. When a screen needed something Bento didn't have, we built it into Bento.

Next came integrations. We built the screens where a restaurant picks the point of sale system it wants to connect. Each request goes straight to Nory's staff through Slack and Linear webhooks, so nobody has to chase it.
On workforce we localized the product for the US and Spain: language, time zones, currencies, date and number formats, and the labor rules that change from country to country.
We also redesigned the people, schedule, payroll and requests screens and moved them onto Bento.
Now we're on inventory, building the frontend for Nory's AI agents. The ordering assistant takes a plain question, like what a site needs for the weekend rush, and answers with order recommendations by product and delivery day.
The invoicing assistant reads a supplier invoice, checks every line against what was ordered and delivered, and flags what doesn't match before anyone pays it.
